Barron Adler partner Chris Oddo recognized by Capital Area Private Defenders Service

Barron Adler partner Chris Oddo was recently presented with a plaque by the Capital Area Private Defenders Service to thank him for his service on the CAPDS Board of Directors.  During Chris’ service on the board, he assisted in completely revamping the court appointments system in criminal cases in Travis County by creating a new nonprofit to take over the appointment of counsel.  Betty Blackwell, the present of the CAPDS, said in a statement that the new organization “has been highlighted around the state as a model for how to implement effective reforms in the criminal justice arena.  CAPDS and [the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association] wish to express their sincere appreciation that Chris Oddo was willing to take on this monumental project.”
