A scholarly article authored by Barron Adler attorney Roy Brandys, Nick Laurent, and Blaire Knox has been recently published in the peer reviewed American Bar Association Real Property Trust & Estate Journal. The article discusses, among other things, the history of the border barrier between the United States and Mexico, federal procedural rules for seizing private property for the construction of the border wall in Texas, and unique issues the authors have observed representing clients during takings for the border wall. Barron Adler has represented dozens of landowners for more than a decade as part of the border barrier built following the Secure Fence Act of 2006 and during the latest round of takings for the border wall. The article is published in the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal, Vol 53, No. 1 (Spring 2018).
