DeLa Express Suspends Large Interstate Gas Pipeline, Pivots to Texas Route

DeLa Express LLC, an affiliate of MossLake Partners, has chosen to suspend the development of its proposed interstate natural gas pipeline. Pivoting from its original plan, the company informed the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)  that it will reconfigure the project into an intrastate pipeline, focused on natural gas markets in Texas.

The project was first announced in 2024 as a 690-mile pipeline that would transport natural gas from West Texas to Moss Bluff, Louisiana. However, this proposed direction faced opposition from landowners and residents along portions of the route in Louisiana.

DeLa Express revised the project after reviewing market feedback from Permian Basin producers and natural gas customers along the Gulf Coast. The company determined that the project would be better positioned to transport Permian residue gas to markets in and around southeast Texas. The project is targeted to start up in 2030 and is currently under review by the FERC.
