In the Pipeline: Bahia and Blackfin Project Updates
Two major pipeline projects, the Bahia and Blackfin pipelines, will soon impact thousands of
property owners across the State of Texas. The Bahia pipeline will span from west to east Texas over 630 miles, affecting a total of 24 counties. Construction is slated to begin this summer, and the pipeline is anticipated to be in service spring 2025. It will carry 600,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per day.
Blackfin is a 193-mile intrastate pipeline that will predominantly impact eight different counties around the Greater Houston area from Colorado County to Jasper County, transporting up to 3.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day. Construction for this project is expected to begin in the fall of 2024 and to be in service late 2025.
Most if not all offers have been made to impacted property owners, and some condemnation cases have been filed, although impacts will vary from property to property. If you received an offer letter for one of these pipeline projects and are seeking guidance on how to protect your property rights, contact Barron, Adler, Clough & Oddo, PLLC to speak with an experienced attorney.
