Final Investment Decision Made for Matterhorn Express Pipeline
Last week, WhiteWater announced they have reached a final investment decision, along with EnLink Midstream, LLC (NYSE: ENLC), Devon Energy Corp. (NYSE: DVN), and MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX), to move forward with the construction of the Matterhorn Express Pipeline.
The Matterhorn Express Pipeline is designed to transport up to 2.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of natural gas through about 490 miles (790 km) from Waha, Texas, to near Houston, with supply sourced from connections in the Permian Basin. Matterhorn is expected to be in service in the second half of 2024, pending regulatory approvals.
The Matterhorn Express Pipeline project is still in preliminary stages and Matterhorn representatives are continuing to survey and conduct environmental and other inspections in advance of selecting a final route for the line. Many landowners who will potentially be affected by the project have raised significant concerns about the impact the project will have on their property. We have been retained to represent a number of landowners who anticipate they will be impacted by the Matterhorn Express Pipeline project.
